Blu-ray & HD DVD Format Wars

Warner Brothers are now releasing movies exclusively on Blu-ray discs. It now appears that Blu-ray will be the winner of the format wars betweeen Blu-ray and HD DVD.

Movie titles released on Blu-ray from Hollywood Studios Blu-ray Sony/MGM, Disney, 20th Century Fox, New Line, Lionsgate and now Warner Brothers, will have over 70% of the DVD market.

A single-layer Blu-ray Disc can store 25 gigabytes (GB), over five times more data than a single layer DVD at 4.7 GB.

Does anyone remember the Betamax Vs VHS format war back in the 80’s
